The screen resolution tells you about information which is displayed on your system screen. It is calculated vertically and horizontally in pixels. At lower screen resolutions, you can view items fit on the screen, but they are actually large in size and at higher resolutions, smaller items are viewed fit on screen.

Firewall is one of the most important security applications to provide secure for any computer. Fortunately Microsoft includes Firewall software in Windows 7 that protect you’re your Windows 7 computer from Malicious, Malware and virus packed programs from internet. Windows XP was the first OS that included built in firewall into Windows OS.

Windows 7 firewall is flexible in use and gives different options to configure firewall. Moreover, it gives you advanced setting from where you can see more options and ports on granular level that have more control on Windows 7 firewall. You will found it in Control Panel window.

It contains two different options “Public network” and “Home or work (private) networks” settings so that you can do the different settings for your home and public networks.

Home network

By using “Home or work (private) networks”, you can view all computers that are attached to private network. You can easily send files and folders to users that are connected to this private network. If you don’t want to get any shared file or folder, then you can simply disable it from settings.

Public network

You should configure Public network to avoid from risks as this connection is not secured. It is recommended to don’t open or use bank website and other sites that need your personal information to access the website. By default, public network will inform you about unauthorized connection incoming to your computer.

Windows 7 comes along with a remarkable feature that allows the User to restore files that they have installed on their drives to be restored to a previous version. This allows the user to restore the files to a previous default setting that would allow viewing and using the files in their default formats. To restore a file to its previous format in a step by step process,

Restoring File Previous Formats:

Browse to the file that you want to restore to its previous version,

Once at the file that you wish to restore, right click on it and choose properties

Upon visiting the properties dialog box, do go for the option that reads Previous version

Selecting this version will result in windows applying the effects at once

Do remember if there are no backups for the file that you are trying to restore, than an error will appear reading that windows was unable to locate a backup to the file. Windows does require a restore point for each file that the user wishes to restore. These backup files act as restore nodes which store all the values that the old file would have before the user applies changes on it.
